Hobsons Bay City Council is urging the local community to get involved and have their say on the Western Distributor Project following the release of a draft design for the new road and tunnel network.
Mayor of Hobsons Bay Cr Peter Hemphill said Transurban had presented two options for the proposed tunnel connecting the Westgate Freeway with Citylink, as well as plans for the widening of the Westgate Freeway from eight to 12 lanes and an elevated road along Footscray Road.
