A new pavilion at JT Gray Reserve is one step closer with Hobsons Bay City Council allocating funding for its detailed design.

Mayor of Hobsons Bay Cr Peter Hemphill said JT Gray Reserve was the most heavily used reserve for formal sport in Hobsons Bay with about 900 members across five tenant sporting clubs calling the reserve home.

Soccer is one of the most popular club based sports in Hobsons free musically likes Bay and 48 per cent of all soccer participation in Hobsons Bay occurs at JT Gray Reserve.
