Street signs in Williamstown have been given a makeover a facelift of an historic kind to celebrate Hobsons Bays rich history.
The initiative is part of Mayor of Hobsons Bay Councillor Peter Hemphills Mayoral program and will acknowledge the local history, people and stories behind some of Hobsons Bays oldest street names.
The signs will give a glimpse into the history of the city, and the lives of political, business, cultural and community leaders. It will provide an opportunity to showcase important elements of our past, said Cr Hemphill.
